Winter!: Prepare for holiday gaming!
It was cheap, so I picked it up. Plus, I'm a sucker for action-RPGs. It's not the worst I've played, but I do find it immensely frustrating and usually shut it off in anger.
Pros: Nice graphics, interesting item synthesis system (think Horadric Cube, without the cube; if you don't know what a Horadric Cube is, I should slap you then force you to play Diablo II), highly intriguing storyline. Good music, with one caveat listed below.
Cons: The storyline, while great, feels more like an afterthought once you get deep into the game. Unfortunately, like many Action-RPGS, it also falls into the pit of repetition quite early. Hack and slash, slash and hack, rinse and repeat...over...and over...and over. Further, while the music is good, the same music plays whenever you're in combat. Plus, and this is my biggest gripe, NO BLOCK BUTTON! *SCREAMS* Healing potions too difficult to come by, when you can't block. Did I mention you can't block?
